Strong representation - Strong results

Shaw Law Firm was founded by Civil Litigation Attorney Carl D. Shaw after a 20-year practice as a lead attorney at O’Quinn Law Firm, one of the most recognized civil litigation and personal injury law firms in the nation.  While at the O'Quinn Law Firm, Mr. Shaw obtained substantial recoveries using rigorous trial work and settlement strategies in national mass tort actions, serious negligence cases, toxic and environmental torts, large business litigation and tobacco company lawsuits, medical malpractice and wrongful death matters, among many other highly celebrated victories for voiceless business and individual victims of companies large and small.

After the untimely death of John O’Quinn, Mr. Shaw established Houston-based Shaw Law Firm to continue his mission to protect the powerless from the powerful — and deliver justice.  He brings to bear his extensive trial and mediation experience, highly respected legal expertise and a network of the nation’s most reputable attorneys and expert witnesses in a variety of legal, medical, financial and other complex fields of law.

Benefiting from a variety of fee arrangements ranging from contingency fees — where we are only paid when you are paid — to blended contingency and hourly rate agreements, clients have turned to Shaw Law Firm’s personal injury attorneys, product liability lawyers, medical malpractice attorneys, family lawyers and commercial liability attorneys to recover damages in a broad range of cases, including among many others:
